Scheherazade Quartet

The audio and video album “Shahrzad Quartet” was released with the leadership and composition by Shahrdad Rohani and directed by Omid Hashemlou in the music market.

Shahrzad Quartet members decided to create a type of Iranian folk music pieces. Following this decision, Shahrdad Rouhani composed these piescs. The album was recorded and produced by Saba Studio about 5 years ago.

The album has twelve pieces, two of which are classic, such as Chopin and Bach’s preludes along with other pieces, all of which are folk (such as Dokhtare BoyerAhmadi, Simaye Jan, Azizjoon).
The album has two parts: audio and video, a part of the video containing 6 pieces, along with a conversation with Shahrdad Rohani, members of the quartet and Kaveh Kateb (Project Manager). The duration of the movie is 40 minutes and parts of the production process are included in this section.

The album is based on composing, arranging and conducting by Shahrdad Rohani, and performanced by Tina Jamegarmi (violin 1), Parisa Pirzadeh (violin 2), Atena Zanganeh (Viola) and Negar Norad (violincell) with guest performers Behnam Abolghasem (piano) and Parvaneh Anaraki The Contrabass is funded by Avaye Barbad Institute.
